"Mizuhiki" is a decorative string made out of paper and silk, which has been inherited as a Japanese traditional culture expressing Japanese beauty since 600 AD.
One string becomes one surface. The surface finally forms the shape, which is the moment of becoming "Mizuhiki Arts"
Since the ancient ages, Japanese has used Mizuhiki strings for important festivals and ceremonies.
Those Japanese spirits and traditions are embraced into our arts combined together with the original creativity of "RITUAL the crafts"
We try to produce the art works nobody has seen before by means of pushing the limit of possibilities of ”Mizuhiki”.
The atelier of RITUAL is located at Iida city in Nagano prefecture where known as the industry of Mizuhiki strings. We deliver our arts to all over Japan from Iida city.
